Hiroshi Tanabe

I was looking around at fashion illustrators and found this Japanese illustrator Hiroshi Tanabe. His work is just so pure and elegant. I love it.

Blaha

I've mostly done homework today. I went in to central London to get some supplies for school, and then I went to the school library to do research for some projects. Tonight, we are probably going out to celebrate Terés, who turned 21 last week!

Now, I need to make some dinner, and then I have to clean my room! Sorry for not really having anything interesting to say :P

Plastic

For this term, the theme on all our work is Sustainability/up-cycling, and when I did some research for my sketchbook, I found these amazing pictures. The photographer's name is Tomaas, and the model is wearing everyday plastic things that you normally can find in your household. It's a very creative idea, and it really looks stunning!

Only paint drunk

I had a day off today, so I decided to take my camera and go for a walk to see if I could find anything interesting. I went to the Archway/Highgate area.

When I came home, I did some school work and then spoke to my family on skype. My mum and dad are coming to visit me next week! I really look forward to it!!!

Baby hands

Just thought I'd share some of the things I've done in fashion portfolio so far. These pictures are from excersises we've had in class. The first four of them is from last week, where we drew models from magazines.

The following drawings are from today, when we were drawing a live model.

This one is drawn while she was walking. It was pretty difficult.

We also practised drawing hands, using our own hands as models. Those who know me, knows that I'm pretty self concious about my hands. I often get comments about how tiny they are. Even my teacher today called them baby hands!

Our homework for today was to go out and draw something that inspires us, it could be something from an exibition, a building, a landscape etc. I decided to draw this building, which I think is an old hospital.
Original building:
I also went to hampstead heath and tried drawing the view.

Language exchange

Yesterday, Joe and I went to a language exchange event in Piccadilly. This was some form of social event where you meet people from different countries. When we got there, they asked which language we would like to learn, and when we said french we were seated with a group of french people. It was a lot of fun, and I would definitely recommend others to do it! They have an event on Saturdays as well, where it's more about practising the language you want to learn. I would really like to go, but I'm always working on Saturdays.

Afterwards, we went to an Italian restaurant. It was very crowded and busy, even though it was very late, and you picked your food at the counter, they made it for you and then you could take a seat. The food was very nice! :)
