Late

Just came home, much later than I expected to. After school today, Ellinor and I went to visit a friend in the hospital, and afterwards we went to a pub with some friends. We were just supposed to eat there and then the others would go and see the hunger games and I would go home, but they never went to the cinema, so we stayed in the pub and had some drinks. Why does it always end up like this?

Right now, I just really don't feel like working tomorrow...

The Hunger Games

Ellinor and I just came back after seeing the new film "The Hunger Games". I've read the books a few years ago, and Ellinor read it quite recently, and we were both pleased to see that the film followed everything from the book. It was much better than I expected. Usually when I've seen movies that are based on books, I have left the movie theatre a bit disappointed (like for example the Harry Potter series), but this one was great! The actors were really good, and there were moments when we laughed and moments when we cried. Definitely worth seeing!

I'm exhausted. But it's kind of my own fault, I guess. Thursdsay evening, I hung out with Ellinor, Terés and Sammy and some of his friends. We had some drinks, listened to music and talked. We had fun. Though, now I really feel that the lack of proper sleep is catching up with me.

This morning, I worked my first morning shift. It was very busy, and that's how it always is on mornings in the weekends. Though, tomorrow will be worse. Not only will I be working the morning shift, but also the evening shift. I start at 10am and finish at 11pm.

Kill me? Please?


So, yeah, as soon as I finish my homework I will go to bed, I guess. (But I have to admit that the homework goes very slowly at the moment...)

Catching up.

Soooo... Where should I begin? Let's start with St. Patricks day. Work was quite busy all evening, and I left work around midnight. After work I met up with Ellinor and the guys and we went to an Irish pub. It was very nice, though I was very tired as usual. But we ended up having a really good time anyway!

The day after that, it was Mothers day, which meant that I had a veeery busy day ahead of me at work. When I stepped inside the door of the restaurant, I was met by chaos. People were running around, some were yelling at each other. Especially the kitchen had problems. We had to tell people that came into the restaurant that we were full, because the kitchen couldn't handle the amount of people. Thankfully, it became less busy later in the evening, but there was still a lot to do.

Monday, I started school again! My first class was Historical and contextual studies, which is basically fashion history. The course seems interesting, though there is a lot of work. After school, there was a staff meeting at work. In the end of the meeting we went to Camden and had some nice food and some drinks, to say goodbye to two of our colleagues that are leaving our restaurant.

Yesterday, I spoke to my family on skype. It became a bit emotional. I miss them all so much, and it's hard being so far away from them! And I know that they are worried that something will happen to me here in London, but I don't want them to...

Today, when I was on my way to work, I realised that I might be a bit late, so I called to tell them. My manager answered "Ok, well, we actually have a lot of people working today, so if you want you can take a day off."

Sweet!


So now, I have some time over to start working on my homework!

Work etc.

I just came back from work. I've been working evenings all week. On wednesday, I was off, so I met up with Ellinor to celebrate her birthday! We ate Ben & Jerry's at trafalgar square, went to carnaby street, ate dinner at T.G.I Friday's and then went to a Pub, where we met some other friends. It was a very nice day, and I'm sure Ellinor was happy with her birthday!

The rest of the week hasn't really been that interesting. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's day, but I'll be working all evening. I might meet up with some friends afterwards, if I'm not too tired...

Finally!

Finally, a blog post! I know, I've been absent a lot lately, but now I have finally gotten a computer. My sister came to visit this weekend and she then brought  a small laptop from home, which my family don´t use that much. It is very small, but better than not having a laptop at all.

I've also been very busy working the last two weeks. I have been working evenings, finishing at 11.30pm. On saturday Ellinor texted me after work saying that she was going to a pub, so I joined her and we met Sammy and his friends there. It was a really nice night, though I was extremely tired. But I still had a good time.

Even though I had a good time, I kind of regretted staying up so late because work the day after was a nightmare. The weather was great, which resulted in more people coming to the restaurant and I was busy though the entire shift.

Today, my goal was to do nothing and not to leave the house, except for a much needed jog with Ellinor.

Mission accomplished.

Now, Ellinor and I are probably going to watch a movie or something :)

Killing time

I know that I haven't updated my blog much recently. That is because I still don't have a computer of my own.

Tough life.

I'm now sitting in starbucks across the street from where I work. I was supposed to come to work early to do some induction thing but nobody knew how to do it.
