Tomorrow!!

So I went to the fashion show yesterday, where those who graduated got to show their collections. There was a lot of great pieces. It was really nice! Unfortunately though, I didn't manage to take any good pictures.

Damnit! Stupid mobile phone...


I need to buy a proper camera. It sucks to only take pictures with my crappy phone.

Right now I am packing, and earlier today I went to the library and printed out all the travel documents. It's gonna be so much fun going to Stockholm! And home, of course! So I have a lot of traveling ahead of me.

Dreamin'

Having a nice start of the day, with some music, a facebook chat with Julia and a Skype conversation with André! Later, I'm off for some lunch and tonight I'm going to a fashion show. Let's see what the rest of the day has to offer.

Life is good!

What can I say? We had an extended weekend, and continued our relaxed lifestyle yesterday as well. Well, first I had to attend a meeting at work, but it was nice. We tried some food from the new menu and talked about some changes at work basically. After the meeting, Amelie, Thomas and I met up with Ellinor and Julia in camden and after that we went to our place and then to the park and had some drinks. After the park closed, we went home and then took the bus to Robert's parents place.

We found a teddy bear hanging from a window in  Camden, so I had to take a picture :P

Today, Ellinor and I woke up quite late, and we then went to Gail's to eat breakfast and then we went to the park (as usual). We have been to the park pretty much everyday lately. Life is good!

Warm parks and freezing waters

This day was just the way a sunday should be. First we hung out in queens park for a few hours, ate some "park pizza" and listened to music. The weather was amazing! When Julia had to go and meet a friend, Ellinor and I went down to Sammy, who'd bought a pool. It was really nice to sit in the pool, even though the water was freezing. We then spent the rest of the evening sitting in the garden with loud music coming from sammy's room.

I think the neighbours dogs were hungry. They kept sitting there, looking at our food :P

Birthday picnic

It was a very successful birthday if I may say so! We came to the park somewhere around 2.30pm, had some drinks and just had a lot of fun, in lack of better words. We stayed in the park until around 9pm and then skipped our plans about going to a pub, and went to Robert's and Sammy's parents' place. We only stayed there for a little bit before going to Milton's place instead. There, we listened to music, had a pillow fight, played with a cat and just hung out.

Ellinor, Julia and I stayed over, then we woke up quite early this morning and bought some coffees at starbucks on our way home.

They gave me some really nice gifts, and I even got chocolate from Ellinor's aunt!

Soon we are going to Hampstead Heath to have a birthday picnic!

Hahah! Apart from the teddy bear, this also came in the mail today:

I think this is hilarious! I'm going to put it on our door or our wall or something! On the other side of this note it says: "STOP SINNING. GET RID OF SINFUL STUFF, WRONG FRIENDS and OBEY THE WORDS OF JESUS."

Yeah, I think I'll do that :P

Teddy in the mail

When the mail came earlier, there was a little package for me. I opened it and inside was this cute little teddy bear! It was from my wonderful family! I miss them so much!

 A little birthday card came with it.

 The teddy bear even has it's own tiny passport ^^ (Pass in swedish)

 And a tiny wine bottle! French and everything, haha!

I just came back from the park with Ellinor. We played some frisbee and listened to music. The weather is so nice!!!

Beautiful day

AAAAAAH!

How great is it to have the whole weekend off? I'll tell you how great it is. It's super fantastic!!! I started this day by sleeping until 10.30, which nowadays is pretty late for me. I then went to Sainsbury's to buy some breakfast, now I am cleaning the room, and when Ellinor gets back from school we are going to the park to just relax. Later today, Julia is coming to visit! She's just been in South Afrika and now she's coming to London :D and then tonight we are going over to Michelle's place to celebrate Michelle's birthday.

So, yeah, a pretty busy day :P


And more is happening this weekend. Tomorrow, it's my birthday and I'm having a picnic on hampstead heath! That will be a lot of fun ^^

Heat

Woah, it's seriously hot today! I just came home, and I didn't need a jacket, or even a sweater on my way home from work. And now, even though  we have both windows open, it is still almost unbearable.

It was quite busy at work today, especially towards the end. Also, Ellinor came to visit, just in time for my break so she and I ate our food on the balcony and enjoyed the nice weather.

Presentation

Today was the last day of school.

Yaaay! No school this summer!


We presented our garments for the group. My presentation was very bad, I was so nervous, but at least I was happy with my garment. It was fun to see the others' garments as well. I've seen them before, but not finished and on mannequins. They are all very talented, so it was fun to see!

What I didn't know was that we also had to turn in our patterns today, so after school, I took the tube home, then back to school and then home again, where I met up with Ellinor and Sammy in the park.

Mussels

One of my collegues accidentally ordered a portion of mussels for a customer today, so lucky me got to eat them for dinner! This was the first time I've tried mussels, and I have to say that it was delicious!

Sun is shining everyday

Today, I have been doing some hand sewing on my dress, while watching series. I also talked to my friend Anré for a bit on the facebook chat. I really look forward to june, when I'm going to visit him in Stockholm :D 

After a while I went out jogging and now I am getting ready for work. I have a short evening shift today, so I don't start until 6pm.

The weather is fantastic today! It's really hot outside and the sun is shining! I hope it stays like this all week!

TGI... Wait, it's Monday!

Today was a really nice day! It started off with me relaxing at home, and sending in my final essay. Me and Sophie had breakfast and then we left home. She went to meet up with Ellinor, who would finish school soon, and I went to class. My class finished early though, so I called Ellinor and met her and Sophie at TGI Friday's to have some lunch.

After that, Ellinor and I went to Primark, because Ellinor needed something for a class assignment and we also went to New Look, where I bought a pair of shoes. I really needed a new pair of shoes, because I don't have any shoes that I can wear now that it's getting warmer.

Then Ellinor went home, and I continued walking along Oxford Street to try to find a hat that I can wear on saturday, when I am going to have a birthday picnic with a "hat-theme". I walked around for a few hours, and also bought some brown thread for the dress that I'm making. After I bought the thread I went to Oxford Circus and met up with Terés and Atsuo. We walked to a pub and sat there for a while, had some drinks and talked. I had a very good time!

Reptilia

Writing my essay and listening to music. This is going to be a long day.

Breakfast at Gail's

Me, Ellinor and her friend Sophie woke up this morning and realised we didn't have any breakfast at home. So we got dressed and went to Gail's and had some Strawberry and white chocolate scones. Yumm!

After that we went to starbucks and bought some coffees and sat there and talked for a while before heading back home. Now, I will unfortunetaly have to start getting ready for work. As I wrote last night, I have a very busy shift ahead of me..

Tired

I just came home from work, and I'm now relaxing for a bit before I have to go to bed. Ellinor and her friend, who's visiting from Sweden, are out partying right now. I would have come with them if it weren't for the fact that I'm working late and therefore too tired to do anything after.

Work was ok today. Very quiet at first, but around 8-9pm people started dropping in. I know tomorrow's going to be busy though. There is a party of 60 people booked for tomorrow night, and apparently they are not coming for food, but for drinks. That means I'm going to be very busy in the bar. Not really looking forward to that...

Strawberry

Yesterday evening, when I came home from school, Ellinor had bought strawberries and chocolate! Can you guess what that meant?

Chocolate fondue!!!


I got a chocolate fondue set as a christmas gift from my parents and I've been wanting to use it for a while, so this was perfect!

Now, I have to do some homework before I have to leave for work.

Almost done

Today, I continued working on my final garment in school. It took forever to put the pieces together, because the fabric I bought was quite heavy and very slippery. But it is a very nice fabric. After having to start over once, making a few more mistakes, and staying an hour and a half after class was over I am finally finished.

Well, almost. I only have to fix the edges as well.

The edges will probably require hand sewing, which will take a veeery long time. But other than that, everything is pretty much done and I am pretty happy with the result. You wanna see?

Of course you do! Or at least I'll show you anyway!

Melody of a fallen tree

The weather is nice and sunny, I'm listening to some soft music and I'm soon off to buy some fabrics before school. I have a feeling that this will be a good day!

The Weekend

So, about the weekend. As I wrote before, I had an extra class this saturday. It went well and I finished the toile, and even managed to start working on the actual garment. I didn't get very far though, so I can't show you anything yet. I ran out of fabric because half of the piece that I'd bought were damaged, which I hadn't seen when I bought it. I will have to go buy more tomorrow. But anyway, I was happy with the toile, and I've changed the pattern so that the actual garment will be a dress instead.

Right now, the collar looks like the kind you put on your dog, but it won't as soon as I use the fabric for the final garment :P

After school I met up with Ellinor in Queens park, and I bought some food with me so that we could hang out in the park for a while. We ended up spending pretty much the rest of the day in the park. After a while were joined by Monty and his cousin Phil, and we all just hung out, listened to music, played some frisbee and had some drinks. Then we went to a pub and had some more drinks before we went back to mine and Ellinor's place, where we continued listening to music. Soon, Milton and his friends Michael and Henry joined us and we continued to another pub and then to Milton's flat. It was such a fun night!

Sunday, I had work from 10 to 16. The shift was really stressful, and I just kept making mistakes. A while before I finished, Ellinor showed up with my bag that I'd forgotten at Milton's place the night before, and she stayed until my shift was over. Then she, I and Thomas (a guy from work) went to starbucks to grab some coffees and walked up the hill to Hampstead Heath. We sat there for a while, enjoying the weather and the view. I was pretty exhausted after that busy shift, so it was nice to just relax for a bit :)

Chocolate cake!

Today, we got to taste this delicious chocolate cake! Yummy!

Yep, another post about food...

That was probably the best part of today, haha! This evening, the restaurant was unusually quiet. I don't mind it being quiet, but we basically had nothing to do for the first half of the shift, and they even called one girl to tell her that she didn't need to work today.

Tomorrow, I have an extra class in school. I can't believe that they put a class on a saturday! But what's surprising me more is that I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm having 3D form 2 and I am going to finish the toile for the dress that I'm making, and that I showed a few days ago. I can't wait until the dress is done!

Animal

I am sitting here, in my bed, listening to music and trying to do my homework. That I'm writing here in my blog is an obvious sign that I'm failing. I'm just so tired and don't know how to find motivation to do it...

Soon, I will have to start getting ready for work. I am working the evening shift again, as usual. But it's not that bad, as long as it's not too busy :)

A good thing about working in a restaurant is the delicious food that you get to eat. Today I had a croque monsieur. Omnomnomnom!

Work in progress

Yesterday, in class, we were working on our final garments. Right now we are making the toile (draft) for our garments, before we start using the actual fabrics for our garments to see if anything needs to be changed.

I'm quite happy with it. As I made it, I realised that I needed to change the pattern a bit and I also decided to make it longer so that it becomes a dress instead. There will also be a collar added. As I said, this is only a draft, so it's hard to get a good picture of what it will look like.

2nd streets have no name

Cabin in the woods

I just came back from watching Cabin in the woods, and I can't say anything else than that YOU HAVE TO SEE IT! It started out like any other horror film, but there was a twist alright! Even if you've seen the trailer, you won't expect it to end like it did. Of course, you understood that there would be a twist when you saw it, and you kind of saw what the twist would be about, but normally, the trailers show pretty much everything. I had seen the trailer to this one, and the surprises just kept coming.

I don't want to say too much, fearing that I will reveal too much, but I can say that it wasn't a normal scary movie. There were moments when you screamed out loud, and there were moments when you laughed. Both me and Kevin really liked the movie, and I'm sure that others will as well!

Doing nothing

Today, for the first time in a very long time, I've been able to spend the day, doing nothing at all. I've just been in my room, watching series, listening to music and skyping with my mum. Pretty sweet!

Later, I'm meeting up with my dear cousing Kevin to go and see the film Cabin in The Woods. I hope it's good! It is supposed to be like a classic horror film, but with a twist. Exciting!
