Regents show Autumn 2013

Tonight was the autumn fashion show at my uni. It was a lot of fun to watch, since I had four outfits this time. I spent a lot of time creating them, which makes it an extra proud moment when they walk down the runway. The ones that I'm the most proud of are the two main outfits from my womenswear class, that were both inspired by flies eyes. One is a coat with a long, black dress underneath and the other is a big, round sweater/dress. I also had another one from womenswear, where we had experimented during one class and then dyed it red/pink, and I had a dress from a previous term, which had a large collar.

Mood

Today in class, we made moodboards, using images that could fit the theme of the term. It was mainly an excercise to get used to proffessionally present images, thinking of the composition and colour palettes.

It shows now that we are in level 300. Compared to earlier terms, you can see that everyone's work has improved. Here is the final board I made for the day, along with the others' boards.

First day of term!

Today was my first day back at uni! This term I have Womenswear 1 and 2 and CAD for fashion 2. I think this will be an interesting term. In Womenswear we are creating two outfits, based on the theme "Surrealism". One of the outfits will be Avant-garde and the other will be commercial. With the theme, it seems like there really are no limits to what we can create. We have also been asked to keep a dream journal to use in our work somehow! Needless to say, I am really excited for this term :)

Last weekend

Here i also an update from this weekend, when my sister and her boyfriend visited. We ate out, went to a museum and just hung out. Unfortunatly I didn't bring my camera, and just took a few photos with my phone: 

London Fashion Week

As some of you know, I helped out at the Top Shop showspace during fashion week! I worked a lot backstage and it was a lot of fun!

As usual I am a bit late with this update, as it happened last week, but I took a lot of pictures and thought I would share them with you!

Since this, I have been working at topshop fashion week and also this weekent, charlotte and mattias came to visit. I'll let you know more about that tomorrow! :)

Pictures of our flat

So it's finally time for me to show you some pictures of our new flat! It took a while to get all our stuff sorted, but after a trip to Ikea on sunday, we managed to get everything together. As I said, it's not big, but it's big enough for the two of us :)

As I'm writing this, I am sitting in the Starbucks next door to our flat. We still don't have internet, but we have got a router and our expected "go live date" is tomorrow, so soon I won't have to go to a cafe to blog or check facebook.

Yesterday, I had nothing planned so I decided to visit the Saatchi gallery which is just a few minutes walk from our new flat. I really enjoy looking at art. It is a great source for inspiration.

I especially liked these trees made out of paper bags, created by Yuken Teruya:

Imagine the work behind this. The images here doesn't show how tiny the trees are, and that they are still connected to the paper bags. It takes precision to make these!
