Happy new year!

It's time to say goodbye to the year that has been and welcome the new one. I hope you'll have a nice new years eve, and I'll see you again next year!

Preparations

I met Fredrik and André today. We hung out at Fredrik's house and planned the party for new years eve. Then we went shopping everything we needed for the party (snacks, soda, food etc.), and ate pizza. When we were done with everything we went back to Fredrik's house, listened to music and talked. It was so nice seeing them again, and I look forward to saturday! The party is going to be epic! Fredrik's friend, who's going to be a dj at the party, came with all the equipment today. Exciting! :)

On the bus home I met Rasmus, an old friend whom I haven't talked to in ages. It was nice catching up with him.

Laserdome

So I met up with Ellinor, Elin, My and Ellinor's friend Freddy earlier today. It turned out that the laserdome was full until half past four, so we went to Big Bowl and played bowling until then. After that we went over to the laserdome and played with a bunch of ten year olds. We lost. Those kids were real killing machines! But we still had a lot of fun! The second game, our team was the last to run into the "play room" and we decided to run in there with a big roar, haha ^^

After that everyone went home except me and Elin. We went to Entré and ate some food and stayed there talking for a couple of hours.

I had a really good time!

Time

I will soon be going to Malmö to meet Ellinor, My, Elin and mabe some others to play laserdome! I haven't seen them in a while (especially My and Elin), so it's going to be a lot of fun ^^

Two weeks in Sweden just isn't enough. I don't have time to do everything I want to do, and it's so hard to find a time when others can meet as well... But I've had a good time so far, and hopefully I will be able to make the most of the days I have left before I go back to London :)

The weekend

Hello there! Did you guys have a nice weekend? I sure did!

Christmas eve was spent at my cousin's, and we did the same stuff as usual. We ate gingerbread, saffron bread, drank mulled wine and 3pm we watched Donald duck, then it was time for the Christmas dinner and after that we opened presents.

I got a lot of nice presents, and everyone seemed happy with what they got from me :)

On Christmas day, Louise, dad and I went to Media Markt to buy a new controller for our Wii. Louise had gotten the new Zelda game, but it turned out we couldn't play it without a "motion plus" controller. Dad bought a new, enormous tv. Later, we went to our cousins again and ate leftovers from the christmas dinner.

Yesterday, Louise and I spend pretty much the entire day in front of the tv, playing zelda (which we have been doing all day today as well, and also at this very moment)

All in all, a successful weekend! I hope yours was too! ^^

Christmas

I've been cleaning and spending time with my mother and sister today. We had some nice food, watched movies and I also wrapped the last of the presents.

Tomorrow is Christmas eve, and we are going to my cousins to celebrate Christmas there. I look forward to meeting them all again :)

Pearls

Today, I found a use for a broken pearl necklace I've saved, using some silver wire and string. (I made the "birds nest" months ago, but didn't have anything to put it on before)

I'm pretty happy with it :)

Just chillin'

I've spent the day yesterday at home, taking it slow and spending time with my family. Today, I was supposed to meet Angelica in Malmö, but she was ill so we had to cancel. Hopefully we will find another time to see each other before I go back to London.

I still went to Malmö, because I had to get a new swedish phone number. I was stupid enough to throw away the pin code to my last one (I didn't realize it was my pin and was like "What's this? Why have i saved this??" and threw it in the bin...)

I'm home!

I'm finally back in Sweden! I arrived 3.15pm and my dad came and picked me up at the airport. It's so good that there are flights to Sturup now, so I don't have to go to Copenhagen anymore,

Later I got to drive the car for the first time in three months when I picked my sister up in Staffanstorp. She had missed the bus, and I was happy to drive again.

All I can say now is that it's so nice to be back!

A nice day in chelsea

I had a nice day today. I met up with Atsou and Sojin and we went to Chelsea and Albert bridge together. Chelsea is a very nice area, with lots of shopping and nice cafés. After walking around, looking in the shops for a while, we walked to Albert bridge. It wasn't much to see really, more than that it was a really beautiful bridge, so we walked back and sat down in Caffe Nero and ended up sitting there talking for a couple of hours.

We found a nice little christmas fair.

I'm going back to Sweden tomorrow, so I'm getting ready with all the packing. I'm just worried that I won't wake up in time. I have to leave 8am, and lately I've been very lazy and waking up late avery day...

Julie, is that all??

Julia left early this morning. It feels weird that her room is now empty. No more sitting there late at night, just talking about everything and nothing, no more of her singing and no more of her crazy energy.

Somehow, my mind is still convinced that she's coming back in January, just like me. But she's not. She's gonna be off on other adventures. What am I going to do without her?

Yesterday, we had a little goodbye-dinner in the flat. We had hamburgers and wine. It was really nice, although everyone in the flat wasn't there, and Julia also had to pack the last of her stuff.

I'm right now in the middle of packing, since it's only two days until I am going back to Sweden. I have to do most of the packing now because I won't have much time tomorrow, since I'm going to spend time with Sojin and Atsuo. Earlier today I went to the library to print out my boarding pass, but I didn't know I had to put in the details of my passport, so I had to call Arthur and ask him to find it for me. The poor guy had to look for a while because it turned out my passport wasn't where I thought it was.

Tired of flat shares

Our flat is finally clean again! After weeks of living in the dirt, I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to clean the house properly, since most of the people in my flat doesn't know how to.

Welcome to the world of flat share, ladies and gentlemen!


I hate to be a nag, and I shouldn't have to tell people to wipe up after themselves when dropping something on the floor, or even how to clean a toilet. I understand that everyone are from different backgrounds, so some might not be used to having to do cleaning and that sort of stuff themselves, but it really isn't that hard and it's very much about common sense, actually. If you miss the bin while throwing something away, then pick it up!

We keep a cleaning schedule in our flat, but not everyone follows it. And even if people clean, some only do it half way. The kitchen hadn't been cleaned in at least two weeks (and it was probably longer since anyone cleaned the toilet). The floor was sticky with what probably was old food and other stuff that people have dropped, the stove was horrible and the cupboards were greasy. Yuck! And don't get me started on the toilet! There was a tampon on the floor, the toilet itself... disgusting! And I think worst of all was the end of the bath tub, where some people have kept their shampoo bottles. When I removed the bottles there was lots of slimy goo underneath... and yeah, let's leave it at that...

*vomit* I'm so glad to be going back to Sweden for two weeks...


After I was done cleaning I put up some annoyed notes (yep, I've turned into that kind of person...)

Anyway, over to something more fun. Terés is coming later and then she, Julia and I will have a little dinner and wine. Very nice! I bought the food earlier and I'm going to start cooking soon. I'm gonna surprise them by having the food ready when they get here. Or at least I'll try, since I don't know exactly what time they are gonna be here. I'm going to make bacon wrapped chicken, with a nice sauce and fried potatoes and peppers! Omnomnom!

New design

I changed my blog a bit. Decided to make it more "christmasy" by using a picture I have of the decorations in Covent garden for the header. What do you think? :)

Castaway on the moon

A movie that I think is really worth seeing is "Castaway on the moon". I saw it earlier today and it is probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while! It is a korean movie, and you could say that it's another version of the american movie "Cast away", with Tom Hanks, though the two movies are very different in some ways.

In " Castaway on the moon", a man tries to commit suicide by jumping from a bridge but fails and gets washed up on a small island in the middle of the city river. He has no way of getting off the island and, from the eyes of a girl in one of the city buildings, you get to follow his struggle to survive.

The latest London adventures

So here's what's been going on since the last time I posted something in the blog:

Wednesday, Julia, Terés and I went to Byron and ate delicious hamburgers. We had been planning a dinner for a while, to sort of say goodbye because Julia is leaving soon. It was really nice :)

On thursday, I went to the club Your Mum's House with Michelle and Arthur and danced to some good music. We always have a good time when we go there.

I spent today with Sojin and Atsuo, two friends from starbucks. We went to Camden Market and just walked around, looking at all the things camden has to offer, had some food, walked around some more. When we were tired of the market and all the people, we took a bus to Hampstead heath and had some tea at Gail's and sat there for a while. After that we walked home. I had a lot of fun today!

Lazy

It's insane how lazy you become when you have nothing planned. I didn't do anything in particular either sunday or monday, so today i felt that I at least have to do something. So I decided to take a nice long walk, with a stop at starbucks where i used to work to have a chat and some coffee.

Whaat? Since when do I drink coffee??? Oh, yeah... since i started working at starbucks.


It was really nice and I actually stayed and talked for quite a while. The walk home wasn't as nice though, because it started raining. When I came back home, I met Arthur and we walked over to staples corner to get some stuff that we needed for the flat.

Portobello market

Yesterday, I met up with Julia and we then went to Portobello Market. It was very crowded, but still very nice. Like with all the other markets, you can walk around for hours and there is so much nice stuff to look at. I didn't buy much this time, but I want to go back there.

When we were done with the market, we met up with Julia's co-worker, Robert, and we all went to a pub and had some drinks. We sat there for hours and we had a really good time.

Gingerbread

I am going to meet up Julia after her work today to first go to Flatplanet, which she has been speaking very highly of. Lets see if it really is as amazing as she's been saying ;P 

After that, we are going to the Swedish church to bake gingerbread! They use to have events on Wednesdays, but I have never been there before. It will probably be fun.

Nicolas just left our flat to go back to Argentina. It's so sad and we are all gonna miss him! He and I went to Camden today and just walked around. It was really nice to spend some time with him before he left :)

My sisters

I was just thinking about how much I miss my sisters. How we always used to stay up late, just talking, and how they have always been there for me when life has been hard. I don't know what I would have done without them. I love you, Challe-challe (Charlotte) and Low-low in the bowl-oh (Louise) <3

I don't know why I'm being like this. Maybe it's because I just spoke to Charlotte and made a date to skype with her tomorrow.

Christmas cosy time

The party yesterday was a lot of fun. I think the party ended around 6am. There's really not much more to say... We had fun. :)

This morning we ate breakfast and after that we had some "christmas cosy time" where we ate the christmas cookies and stuff that we were baking on thursday and drank glögg (mulled wine), and I gave everyone a little christmas present. It was very cosy, a real success. We also got a new family member, Arthur, that moved in just in time for the "christmas cosy time".

After that (long after) we went to winter wonderland in hyde park. It is so big! We spent a couple of hours there, walking around and looking around. Afterwards, we went to starbucks and sat there for a while.

So all in all a very nice day!
