Dalby Quarry

Since the weather has been so nice, Louise, Tobias and I went to the Dalby Quarry today. The water there was warmer than usual, so it was really nice. 

On the road again

We're saying goodbye to Stockholm, for now, and are heading back to the south! So far we've stopped to eat once, and managed to lose one of our windshield wipes so we had to stop again to get a new one. Only 4,5 hours to go!

Last Stockholm evening

It's our last night in Stockholm, and once again we went to Mose Backe, only this time with our dear friend André! It was fun to hang out with him, the guys had beer and I drank wine, the sun was shining and it was still warm out, and Mose Backe has such an amazing view. A perfect finish to our stay in Stockholm!

Heatwave

It is 30ºC here in Stockholm, so Tobias and I went to a lake nearby, at a place called Lida, to cool off and take a swim. The place was crowded, which was no surprise considering the heat and that it's saturday.

London reunion 2

Just came back from an evening out with my great friend Julia, and Tobias and his friends Viktor and Markus. Julia is also a friend from London, who now lives in Stockholm, and I'm so glad that I got the chance to meet her now that we are here! She's always out on some adventure (for instance, she recently traveled in south america), so it's nice to catch up on everything that has happened since last time we met. We went to a place called Mose Backe (I think), and had some drinks, then we ate before going to another place where we had some nice cocktails.

London reunion

I've just been in central Stockholm to meet up with my lovely friend Henna! We haven't seen each other since I left London, and since she lives in Stockholm now, we took the opportunity to catch up. We had so much to talk about that the time just flew by, but I had a great time and I hope that it's not too long until we meet next!

When in Sweden, you have to eat traditional swedish food, like this "Falukorv med makaroner" (sausage with macaroni).

Football at Tele2 arena

We arrived in Stockholm yesterday evening, after a 4 hour drive from Lidköping. I was so tired when we got to Tobias's parents' house that I didn't have the energy to post anything in the blog. We just spent the rest of the evening watching a film and then falling asleep.

Today, we went to Tele2 arena to see Tobias's football team Djurgården play. It wasn't a big game so the arena wasn't full, but it was still fun and Djurgården still had a lot of supporters there (unlike the other team).

Lidköping

Here are some pictures from yesterday, when we prepared for the party here on a farm outside Lidköping. It is really beautiful out here!

One of the tasks that Tobias and I got was to go out on the field and pick raspberries. Tobias went all in with the farmer theme and but on a cowboy outfit.

Joacim's dad thought it would be funny to put up some signs around the house so that the party guests know where everything is.

Road trip!

Tobias and I are now on a roadtrip, first towards Lidköping and then to Stockholm! It's fun to be on the road like this, stopping at some fast food place along the way. In our case, it was Max, a swedish burger place that us swedes like to brag about, as it is much nicer than the american places like mcdonalds or burger king :)

Pasta dinner

I made this delicious pasta for dinner today. It's with salmon, rocket, sweetcorn and avocado :) I love every single thing in it, yummm!

A while later, Tobias came home from work, and I then went on a run on Risen, the field that I mentioned earlier today.

Risen

Ive just been out for a long walk with Zigge on Risen, a large field nearby which is used for summer grazing for horses and cows.

The field is so beautiful, and could easily be used for shooting films or something like that, and it's a great place for taking long walks or jogging. It's so wonderful to have something like this so close to our home.

BBQ

My awesome friends Fredrik and André came over for some barbecue yesterday. The weather wasn't great, but we had fun anyways! As we always do :)

Three course meal

My parents are having guests over tonight, and they were serving a three course meal, so my mother asked me if I could make the starters. I decided to make "quiche cupcakes", which the guests all seemed to like! Then my dad made the main course, and my mother made the dessert (which we haven't had yet now that I'm writing)

I realize now that my blog has almost become a food blog, which wasn't exactly the plan from the start. I apologize ;)

Lund

I met up with Louise in Lund today. We walked around, had a look in some shops and then had some frapinos att espresso house. After that we went to Charlotte and Mattias, where we hung out and then had some dinner, sitting outside on their balcony. It was such a nice day!

Also, on my way home, my mum called and asked if I wanted to go for a swim at Dalby Quarry, so she, Tobias and I went there for a quick swim, which was refreshing.

Sad rain

Just writing a quick post, while listening to the rain outside. We just got home from Helsingborg, where Tobias grandparents live. Unfortunately we were there for a funeral of one of their relatives, who sadly died too young.

After the funeral, my parents came over to meet Tobias parents for the first time. This was the first opportunity they've had, as my parents live here in Skåne, and his parents live in Stockholm, so it's a long way to travel, and since they were here for the funeral, they were finally in the same part of Sweden.

That's it for today, it's been a long day and we're tired.

Lovely Sunday

Charlotte and Mattias came over for dinner today. On the menu was pasta with ham and paprika made by Tobias, and for dessert we had the delicious vanilla buns that I made yesterday :)

The weather was lovely today, so we could sit outside in our garden and eat. It is one of the best things with summer, for some reason everything just tastes better when you're outdoors!

Cinema and steakhouse

Tobias and I just got home from Malmö, where we went to the cinema, and then dinner, with Charlotte, Mattias and Louise. We saw the film "The fault in our stars", which was a good film with a moving story. I really recommend it, though maybe I wouldn't watch it at the cinema if I had the opportunity to choose again. Don't get me wrong, It was really good, but the cinema is to me meant for creating an experience and really making use of the great sound systems and special effects.

For dinner, we went to a restaurant called Steakhouse, which is at Lilla torg in Malmö. I had Lamb, and it was so delicious! The only downside was that we had to wait an hour and a half for our food.
