Flying kittens

Soon, I'm going over to Tobias to have a horror night! We are going to watch horror films and play a game called The House, which is supposed to be scarier than Slender (another game I've mentioned before).

I think I need to prepare myself mentally, by filling my head with images of cute kittens...

The chai latte is smiling

So we had a fun night yesterday. The sushi was delicious, however the sake was a bit weird. Then we tried all the different candies that we'd bought, of which some we liked and some we didn't :P

Then this morning, Angelica, Tobias and I went to have some breakfast at a café nearby. Our chai lattes came with a smiley face! ^^

Sushi night!

Today, Angelica and I have been out shopping to prepare for our sushi night with Terés and Tobias! We decided to go all in with the Asian theme, and even bought a bunch of different asian candies to have as a "dessert" ^^ And to drink, we bought Sake, which neither of us have tried before. I have a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night ;)

Still broken

I woke up early today for an appointment at the hospital to check my foot. My appointment was at 9am, but I had to wait for about 50 minutes before someone attended to me. Then, the doctor basically just spoke to me for about 2 minutes, looked at my foot and said it will be better in a few months. Great.

When I came back from the hospital, Angelica and I went out to go to the bank and a couple of other things.

Oh, I haven't written I the blog for a while now! Angelica, a friend from Sweden, moved into my flat this tuesday!

After we were done with our errands we went to starbucks to grab some lunch, and then we looked around in some stores in Camden. Angelica bought some hair extensions, and I got an impuls and bought some hair dye, so at the moment I'm sitting here with dye in my hair! I'm not telling you which colour it is yet (partly because I don't know If the result will be the same as it says on the box), so it will be a surprise!

When you are bored...

This day hasn't been very eventful. Since I had nothing better to do, I went to buy some cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. That bathroom probably hasn't been cleaned since long before I moved in, so I figured I had to do something about it. I then cleaned up a bit in my room and later I made some dinner for myself.

My dinner today:

It tasted as good as it looks! Omnomnom...

Paris - Day three

This morning, we managed to wake up in time for the hotel breakfast! The breakfast was pretty basic. The only thing you had a choice on was the hot drink - tea, coffee och hot chocolate, the rest was just served to you.

After breakfast, we packed our bags, checked out from our room and headed towards The Louvre! Before going into the museum, we had some lunch in a restaurant nearby. It turned out to be a smart move, because we stayed in the museum for a few hours. There was so much to see!

The room where you could find Mona Lisa was, of course, the most crowded place in the whole building!

We managed to get to the front, took just a couple of pictures and left (people were really pushing!)

Then Joe and Ellinor pretended to be giants:

When done at the museum, we went to the Arc de Triomphe! Aaaand that's about when the battery of my camera had enough. I managed to get photos of everything I wanted! There was no need to take photos during the journey home anyway, since we slept pretty much the whole bus ride.

So, yeah... That was our weekend in Paris! :D

Paris - Day two

On the first morning in Paris, we accidentally slept through the hotel breakfast, so we decided to go out and find a café. While we were getting ready, my foot slipped while I was stepping on the bed. It slided down the edge and my toe got stuck and I heard a popping sound. (It later turned out it was broken, but we didn't know that at the time)

So before finding a place to eat, we went to a pharmacy and bought bandage. Then we walked (I limped) down the road and found a café with a view of the Moulin Rouge.

After breakfast, we took the metro to first go see Notre Dame and then the Eiffel tower! In the metro, Joe dropped his sun glasses down onto the track, so we had to get someone from the metro staff to pick them up. Also, Ellinor found a butterfly.

You know you're in France when there is baguettes lying around everywhere you go.

On a bus towards the Eiffel tower (which you can see in the background)

I played around with the "miniature effect" on my camera

I pretended to be paparazzi and followed Ellinor, snapping away on my camera.

More miniature effects. It looks like toys!

We don't know how to behave at restaurants...

FOOD! First up - starters:
 I had Goat's cheese salad.
 Ellinor had tomato soup.
 Joe had tuna salad

 Main course:
Both Ellinor and I had steak.
 Joe had beef stew.
 Desserts:
I tried the Lemon tart. Delicious!
 Ellinor had Creme Brulee
 Joe had chocolate cake.

After dinner, we went to the Eiffel tower and watched the light show. There were lights flashing allover the tower and it went on for five minutes.

 Normal tower, without flashing lights.

 Moulin Rouge at night.
This is where Amelie worked in Amelie from Montmartre
My poor foot is tired of walking.

In the evening, we decided to go out somewhere close to the hotel, so we went to the small bar on the corner across from our hotel room.
 The "wine list".

It was a really nice day. Even thought my foot slowed us down quite a bit, we got a lot of things done and had a really good time. We all went to bed exhausted!
