When I got home today, Julia gave me a little present. It was a friendship bracelet that you buy to support breast cancer. She had taken a little trip to Portsmouth and bought the bracelet there. She also bought one for Francheska and Michelle as well.
Thank you Julia! :)

Cinnamon bun
Today was the day of the cinnamon bun. At least back in Sweden. They don't really have cinnamon buns here in London. The closest thing I've found so far is the cinnamon swilrs at starbucks, which is definetly not the same thing as the swedish cinnamon bun. It has raisins and like some kind of citus goo in it and doesn't taste like cinnamon at all.

What a real cinnamon bun looks like

Don't drink and drive
First of all I have some good news. Kind of. Remember my post on saturday, where I wrote about my co-worker who's boyfriend was in a car accident? I found out today that he is still in the hospital, one of his arms are broken in several places, but he will be fine. Apparently the girl that drove the other car was drunk. It's so horrible to think of how much worse things could have ended, just because some dumbass decided to get into a car after drinking.
So, people, only drive when you are sober, please!

Hard work work
School starts today, but since I decided to take a term off and work instead, I am not going there. Instead, I will soon be heading over to starbucks to work the closing shift.

The weather is really nice today as well, so i kind of wish I had another day off :P

Our "BBQ"
As you can see, our BBQ didn't go so well. We went out to buy some meat and stuff and realized that everything was closed, so we decided to buy take-out kebab instead.

Sunny sunday
Julia woke me up this morning by dancing into my room and practically singing, telling me to wake up. We then had some breakfast and went outside in the lovely weather. A while ago we found this café that looked very nice and we decided to try it out, so we took the bus there to have a fika (I used the Swedish word, because to me it feels wrong saing "have a coffee" since I don't drink coffee...). It was so nice!
The weather really is wonderful! It's like summer, and it just came all of a sudden, after having colder wather for a while. It's so nice that we are going to have a bbq tonight!
I had a brownie and some tea.
Afterwards, we decided to just walk around in the area for a bit. We then discovered that we weren't that far from where we live.
A very common sight in London.

The sadness
If you don't count work, then the last few days have been spent with my parents. It has been great! We visited Camden, Little Venice, Covent Garden, London Eye and lots more.
My mother will send me the pictures she took, so I can show them to you guys later :)
But now they are back in Sweden, so I'm a bit sad. They came to Starbucks to say good bye before they went to the airport, which was a bit emotional for me, so after they left I had to take my 10 minutes break and sit in the office for a while.
To be honest, the day hasn't been that great. Not only did my parents leave today, but i also had to work extra and resulted in working for almost 12 hours. Well, I didn't have to, but one of my coworkers had an emergency. She got a phone call about her boyfriend being in the hospital after a car accident and I told her that I could cover for her. I wouldn't want to stay at work if someone I knew had a car accident...
Now that I think of it, I should probably not complain about my day...
Anyway, I really hope her boyfriend is fine. I have to talk to her next time I'm at work.
At this very moment, I am sitting in the kitchen with Julia. We both have our laptops, so we are feeling pretty social here. Haha :P
I'm off from work tomorrow, so I'll see how I will spend the day. It will probably be a lot of sleep, since I haven't really had time to sleep properly for a while.
